Oumoul Koulsoumi Oumarou is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the Cameroonian judicial system. Appointed by Presidential Decree as Deputy Public Prosecutor (Procureur de la République) for the Buea region in 2010, Oumoul Koulsoumi Oumarou has served diligently in this role. Her commitment to professional development is evident through participation in numerous seminars and training programs. These include engagements with Audit Fiduciaire Expertise Conseil – Afrique Centrale (AFEC – CA) on corporate governance, the National Governance Program on OHADA law, and the Ministry of Justice on both OHADA law and cybercrime. Oumoul Koulsoumi Oumarou has also broadened her expertise in international law, including international humanitarian law, human rights law, international criminal law, and refugee law, through training with the International Institute of Human Rights (IIDH) Fondation Réné Cassin in various locations including Abidjan, Brazzaville, Bamako, and Yaounde. Further studies include online courses with Universiteit Leiden through Coursera, focusing on international courts and tribunals in The Hague, and terrorism and counterterrorism.
